STINGRAY CITY

Stingray City is a sandy Place with some Coral blocks.  Very close to Embudu Channel. Normally there is no current, so the dive is a easy dive. Even snorkelers can come too.
Because of the Sandy area we must be careful with our buoyancy, because of the visibility.
This area has always Stingrays around and they are searching for food.
We attract the stingrays with a little bit of Fish, so they will come very close to us.

It is amazing when all the stingrays swimming around. Sometimes we have up to 10 Stingrays with us.
If we have a lucky day, also nurse sharks can come out. But mostly we found the nurse sharks sleeping under big rocks.

This is not a dive for corals or some nice reef. We go to have fun with the stingrays

Stingray City ist ein Sand platz mit einzelnen Korallenblöcken.  8 Minuten entfernt von Embudu in Richtung Embudu Channel. DieTiefe liegt zwischen 8m bis 14m maximal, und der Platz ist relativ Strömungsfrei. Selbst für Schnorcheln ist der Platz geeignet. Da wir im Sand sitzen müssen wir uns ganz wenig bewegen und bitte aufpassen, das wir nicht zu viel sand aufwirbeln. Dieses Sandgebiet lieben die Stachelrochen. Sie suchen im Sand nach essen. Wir geben ihnen kleine Fischstückchen um sie ganz nah an uns ran zu locken.

Es ist ein fantastisches Gefühl, wenn die Stachelrochen um einen herum Schwimmen und neugierig schauen. Wenn wir Glück haben, sehen wir auch Ammenhaie an der Futterstelle.  Oft finden wir welche schlafend unter Felsblöcken.

Dies ist kein Tauchgang um Korallenriffe zu sehen. Wir bleiben an einen Platz und haben Spass mit den Stachelrochen.

Schnorchler können dort schnorcheln gehen.
